On November 6 th 2017, at Adhiparasakthi Dental College in association with Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences (MAPIMS) conducted a CDE programme ‘Saigner’ (Bleeding) organised by SAF committee headed by Prof.Dr.Gokkulakrishnan under the guidance of Prof.Dr.S.Thillainayagam - Principal, APDC&H.
The Chief Guest of the programme was Dr.Gandhi Ponnaiah M.D., Fellow in Haemotology, Liverpool Hospital, Sydney, Australia. Programme was inaugurated by our Principal sir Prof Dr.S.Thillainayagam sir and Medical Superintendent Prof.Dr.T.Soundarrajan.
Dr.Gandhi Ponnaiah delivered his two lectures during the course of the programme, one lecture on the topic Transfusion Medicine for about 1 hour and other lecture on Bleeding Disorders which was around 45 minutes. The total duration of the programme was about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The programme had seen a variety of audiences Under Graduates, Post Graduates & Delegates from our college and other colleges such as Tagore Dental College, Indhira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences and Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Dental Sciences with total of about 400 participants. Overall the programme was successful and enlightening one for students and
delegates.
