World Blood Donor Day was celebrated by Youth Red Cross (YRC) committee under the theme Safe Blood, Saves Lives. Various online student activities to increase awareness about voluntary blood donation were organized including Logo/Poster/Video making contest, Spread the message initiative and Online signature campaign. To mark the World Blood Donor Day and for easy communication with blood donors in our college, SakthiLife – a mobile based blood donors’ app was launched by our respected Correspondent, Dr.T.Ramesh on 15th June 2020. The launch event was attended by our respected Principal, Vice-Principal and Head of all departments. The app development process was explained through Power Point Presentation and its functioning was demonstrated through a video. The login credentials of the app was given to Dr.Ramanathan, Medical Officer, Transfusion Medicine, Adhiparasakthi Hospitals.
