The IFEA WORLD Congress is a renowned international conference in the specialty of Endodontics and is usually conducted in different parts of the world. For the year 2020 Chennai was the chosen venue. But due to the pandemic, the same was conducted in two phases as a virtual conference (September 2020 and August 2021). The conference was graced by around 70 eminent speakers from all over the world and attended by around 2500 delegates.
The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, APDCH was privileged to be a part of the Organising Committee. The team including Dr.Bharath, Dr.Premkumar, Dr.Ohm Nijandhan, Dr.Sujith under the guidance of Dr.B.Hemasathya, Professor and HOD handle a virtual conference hall that hosted around 125 paper presentations from international delegates and students. Dr.B.Hemasathya Professor and HOD also chaired a session by famous international Endodontist Dr.Mohamed Jamal from Dubai, who is a pioneer in Regenerative Endodontics. Our staff member Dr. Ohm Nijandhan and five postgraduates had done a paper presented during the conference
The organizing team was felicitated at a grand valedictory function hosted by the Indian Endodontic Society by chief guest Dr.Anil Kohli, Former President of Dental Council of India, and Dr.M.R. Srinivasan, President of Conservative and Endodontists Association of Tamilnadu.
